According to EVleaks (which has always been a reliable source), the Galaxy Axiom comes with LTE connectivity, a 4 inch WVGA LCD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory. The handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – and will probably be updated to Android Jelly Bean at some point.
There is no word on when the Samsung Galaxy Axiom will be available at US Cellular. In any case, it will probably become the carrier’s fifth Galaxy smartphone this year – after the Galaxy S Aviator, the QWERTY-equipped Galaxy Metrix 4G, the Galaxy S III, and the Galaxy Note II. All these feature LTE connectivity, so it’s no surprise that the Galaxy Axiom supports US Cellular’s 4G network, too. It remains to be seen how much the operator will ask for the new handset (it should not be more than $100 on contract).
